Trap 1: The Locked Riddle Door
This puzzle/trap
involves the heroes being faced with a thick, impassable stone or
metal door. Embedded in the door are four triangular gems,
arranged in the cardinal directions (N/S/E/W) and all pointing
towards the center. Just above the gems is an inscription:
Rivers
flow, Rivers flee.
First there is Light,
Then there is None.
And so once more,
Rivers flee, and Rivers flow.
Upon pushing the correct gems in the proper order, the door will
rumble as it slowly slides open. If the wrong solution is
presented, electrical damage appropriate to the party's level
should be generated by the first wrong gem pressed.
